Polly Tan

Polly Tan is an AASW (Australian Association of Social Workers) Accredited Social Worker with more than 5 years’ experience across the Acute and Subacute Hospitals setting. She has a Master's in Social Work (MSW) from Monash University and a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from Charles Sturt University. Currently, she is an Acute Stroke and Neurology Social Worker in Grampians Health, Ballarat Base Hospital. Prior to that Polly was a social worker at Royal Melbourne Hospital with clinical experience across Acute wards such as General Medicine, Gastroenterology, Neuroscience and Stroke, Cardiology, Emergency General Surgery, Trauma, Haematology, Otorhinolaryngology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She also has sub-acute clinical experience as a GEM (Geriatric Evaluation Management) Social worker and Rehabilitation Ward on Royal Park Campus. She underwent clinical placements at the Monash Pediatric (Renal, Diabetes and General Pediatric wards) and Adult Hospital (General Medicine, Maternity and Private Hospital Ward). Before embarking into healthcare sector, she had 21 years of working experience in the corporate world that includes senior management roles in Human Resources in a few Global banks such as HSBC Bank and Standard Chartered Bank, and was a Management Consultant with Accenture.
