Michelle M Shannon
Dr Michelle Shannon is a neurological physiotherapist who completed her PhD in neuroscience and architecture through The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health, Melbourne (PhD awarded January 2023). Her PhD involved interrogation of the physical environment of hospital for adults with brain injury (stroke). The PhD culminated in the development and use of virtual reality technology in a study with people after stroke to ascertain impact of selected physical design attributes on behavioural responses. Michelle is currently working with Prof Natasha Lannin's group at Alfred Health and Monash Neurosciences, involved in the 'Falls After Stroke Trial' (FAST), and also works with other research groups based at Peninsula Health and Monash University.
