Robyn O'Halloran

Associate Professor Robyn O'Halloran is the Aphasia Access and Inclusion Program Lead in the NHMRC CRE in Aphasia Recovery and Rehabilitation. Her research is focussed on ways to create communicatively accessible healthcare environments to improve the quality, safety and health outcomes of people with communication disability. She led the development of the IFCI:SAI (Inpatient Functional Communication Interview: Screening, Assessment and Intervention), which includes a range of assessment tools for speech pathologists and other health professionals to identify people who need support to communicate in hospital and the kinds of supports they need. Robyn is also the Discipline lead of Speech Pathology at La Trobe University.
