Aleysha Martin

Aleysha Martin has worked as an acute stroke occupational therapist at the Mater Hospital Brisbane since 2017 and holds an Honorary Appointment with Mater Research Institute-University of Queensland. She commenced her doctorate with Mater Research Institute-University of Queensland in 2020 and was successful in obtaining research funding and support from the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), Mater Research Institute/Mater Foundation, Queensland Health, and The University of Queensland. Aleysha’s doctorate is investigating transdisciplinary stroke care. Her research has the potential to influence the way stroke care services are provided in the future and may contribute to a more sustainable and efficient stroke care workforce. Aleysha has achieved 4 first author publications in peer-reviewed tier-one international journals since 2020 (Scimago 2023), 1 second author publication in 2018 in a peer-reviewed Q1 journal (Scimago 2023), and numerous international presentations.
