Fatigue affects 50% of people living with stroke. It consistently ranks as a top research priority for people with stroke (ranked 4th in 2021 UK priority setting). Fatigue after stroke was chosen as one of 4 topic areas for the 3rd Stroke Recovery and Rehabilitation Roundtable. Four key areas were addressed; 1) biological mechanisms of fatigue, (2) intervention and management targets, (3) outcome measurement, (4) differential diagnosis. Cross cutting themes were (1) creating a consensus definition of fatigue, (2) ensuring inclusivity of people with aphasia, and (3) ensuring we meet the needs of people with stroke (consumer engagement). This presentation will discuss some of the key learnings from the Roundtable, as well as present information on current and future research initiatives.
